Winemaker

Jeremy Gordon is one of Australia's most highly regarded winemakers, recently adding the industry's most prestigious accolade, the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, to his suite of awards.

Jeremy started his career in Western Australia working for high profile wineries such as Evans & Tate and Houghton's before moving to the eastern states to broaden his winemaking experience. After several years, Jeremy returned to the west to make his mark with a new venture in Margaret River, Flametree Wines. It was an unprecedented success. In Flametree's first year Jeremy was awarded six trophies and over 30 medals for winemaking. He was named one of the 50 Stars of 2008 by respected wine journal Wine Business Monthly, and Flametree was awarded a debut 5-Star rating by winemaking patriarch James Halliday, who recently hailed Jeremy's skills with a "Ten of the Best New Wineries" entry in his 2010 Wine Companion.

In 2009 Jeremy created Amelia Park Wines with his wife Daniela and business partner Peter Walsh. Amelia Park is dedicated to producing wines of the highest quality that capture the essence of Margaret River. Jeremy believes that Amelia Park's success lies in a hands-on approach to every step of the process, attention to detail and an unquenchable passion for making consistently outstanding wines.
